Holy Spirit's Boot Camp - Oct 22-24, 2010
There will be a Holy Spirit's Boot Camp, an equipping the saints seminar, in Kennewick, Washington, the weekend of October 22-24, 2010. It will be held at the PUD building at Hwy 395 and 10th Street beginning at 7pm on Friday evening. This seminar is for the person who wants to go deeper in their relationship with God. It is a 'hands on' seminar in which there are exercises to help each person develop their ability to use the gifts of the Holy Spirit and to hear the voice of God in your personal prayer time. "And the sheep will know My voice." (John 10:4) Contact us via email at treesoflife2@gmail.com to register to attend. There is a $20 registration fee at the door to cover costs and there will be a free will offering for the ministry.

The Next Day, June 25, 1981
There is a blue cross now on the site of where the first apparitions occurred. In fact, there was a miracle there just recently. A little girl in a wheelchair was found embracing the cross standing alone and well.
The next day, continuing with Mirjana's account of June 25, 1981, she felt the same inner calling to go back to the spot where she and Ivanka had seen the Gospa. Four other children, two boys and two girls, had also seen her and had run away as well. However, the following day all felt the same inner call at the same time and returned to the site. This time they were accompanied by their family members who were concerned about what was happening to the children.
This time Mary did not have baby Jesus but she spoke to them. Only they could hear her; the family members could see the children were focused on someone or something and were having a conversation but could only see their lips move. She told them to not be afraid, that she was the Queen of Peace... and so began the continuous appearing of the Mother of Jesus to six children. Each child has been given or is in the process of receiving ten 'secrets' about what is going to happen in their area and in the world. All but two of the visionaries have received the ten secrets. They have been told that when all of them have received all ten secrets that the apparitions will cease every day and will occur only on special days, such as their birthdays. Some of these secrets are about chastisements that will come upon the world. Mary has told them that due to all the prayers that one of the secrets has been eliminated and will not happen. She also told them that God was going to leave a permanent sign on the hill after the apparitions stop on a daily basis and that these ten secrets will begin to occur. The children have been instructed to give the secret to their spiritual director who has already been chosen and is familiar with all that has happened. He will then announce it and it will occur in eight days following the announcement. (It sounds a little like what God had Moses tell Pharaoh with the ten plagues, to encourage Pharaoh to let God's people go...) God does not want anyone to be lost but all to come to salvation.
When she began appearing in 1981 Mary urged them to begin praying for peace, in their country and in the world. They did not understand as their country was at peace at that time but a civil war broke out in 1991, devastating the whole region. She encourages us to, "Pray, pray, pray." And tells us that through prayer even wars can be stopped.
Mirjana said that Our Lady does not talk about unbelievers but rather calls them, 'people who have not come to know the love of God yet.' She urges us to pray for them as they are the ones who cause many of the problems in the world, thus it will help the entire world as we all come to know the love of God.

How it all began....
A Little History
For those of you who are not familiar with what has happened at Medjugorje let me start at the beginning where Mirjana did during our visit with her. Medjugorje is a Croatian town in the mountains about 3 hours south of Sarajevo (former Yugoslavia, now broken into Bosnia-Herzcovina and Croatia). The Croatians were from Northern Europe, they believe southern Poland, and migrated to this area hundreds of years ago. They are Catholic, with Muslims and Serbian Orthodox in the surrounding areas. As you travel into this area you see the scars from the civil war of 1991-95 with bombed out buildings and bullet holes in Mostar, the largest town near to Medjugorje. There are gypsies begging for money with their children on the streets. Our guide, Mikki Mousa (Mousa means Moses, but Americans change it to Mickey Mouse sometimes) said that Medjugorje was like the Beverly Hills of the area; because of all the pilgrims their economy has greatly prospered.
The apparitions began nearly 29 years ago on June 24, 1981. Mirjana who was about 15 at the time was walking with her friend, Ivanka, out of the little village of Medjugorje along the base of the hills. Both were on summer vacation and spending the summer with their grandparents helping in the fields, etc. This day was the eve of the feast of St John the Baptist and so none were working in the fields; it was a holiday. Ivanka tells Mirjana that she thought she saw Our Lady (they call the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Gospa) up on the hillside a few hundred meters away. Mirjana did not think it possible and so made a joke of it. They had grown up under communism and so did not know about the apparitions at Lourdes, France, or Fatima, Portugal; they could not talk openly about their faith at school as they risked their parents losing their jobs or their homes. So because she disbelieved Ivanka Mirjana turned and started back to the village. But she said she felt an inner call to go back and so she did. She and Ivanka saw a woman up on the hill dressed in a long gray dress with a white veil holding a baby. Mirjana wondered how she had gotten there in this long dress carrying a baby as the hillside was all rocks! It scared them both and they ran away. Mirjana told her grandmother that she had seen the Gospa and her grandmother told her she had better repent. Mirjana spent the night in prayer but felt called again to go back the next day. Sorry for the delay
Hello Everyone!
I am sorry for the delay in the postings. In Medjugorje it was extremely difficult to get to the internet and as the pilgrimage progressed it became impossible to get down there. So I am continuing the blog from home with the benefit of some reflection about our experiences. It was quite an incredible journey, both spiritually and physically! The next post will have excerpts from our group's visit with one of the visionaries. I am hoping to figure out how to get the video of this meeting onto this site... To be continued...

Statue of Jesus oozing oil
This is a 20' statue of the risen Jesus in bronze that has been showing drops of oil emerging from the smooth metal. The spot is just below His right knee.(see closeup photo) Many people bring cloths to wipe the oil onto. I stood and watched a drop at a time just appear out of this bronze metal!
Miracle of the sun
Sorry for the delay, My machine is bumping me off before I get things posted. So I am going to do a short one for now
Yesterday Pam and 10 others from our group climbed the Kricevec hill (small mtn) and saw the miracle of the sun. It gyrated and changed colors for several minutes.
